100 Days of Illustration

100 days of of Illustration was a personal project I started in September 2014 and finished in December 2014. The goal was to challenge myself daily over the space of 100 days to ideate, design and publish one hundred different illustrations. This project was a significant milestone in my career and the challenge helped me understand my creative process and how to express (or discard…) my ideas quickly and efficiently.

Heavily influenced by pop surrealism, the themes of this collection vary from fun and flamboyant scenes and characters to more macabre personifications of mood, sexuality and death. One of the aims early on was to force myself to use only vector graphics as a medium and to keep all 100 illustrations consistent in terms of type of line work and colour palettes.
